Curtis was born outside of St. Louis, MO, but called many places home because his father was in the United States Army.

 

After some time in Germany and Texas, his family settled down in the Pacific Northwest. Growing up there, he would discover a natural ability for art and a passion for writing. 

 

After pursuing screenwriting in Los Angeles as a young adult, a chance encounter with Otis Frampton sparked a return to the world of art.
